…Charges Nigerian youths to shun hard drugs

Nigerian youths have been called upon to shun intake of hard drugs and the need to embrace training on skills as to be good ambassadors of the Nation.
The President of Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (UCCIMA) and Vice President of Nigeria-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, Chief Dr Chidi Nkem Aruoma, who gave the charge during the 2022 beginning of the year lunch held at Harriate Hotels, umuahia, the capital city of the state, noted that hard drugs intake among youths should be looked into.
He said that government should provide job for the teeming youths to avoid restiveness in the society and urged Abians, investors and other entrepreneurs, particularly those living in diaspora to take advantage of the present status of Abia state as the most investment friendly environment in the country to position themselves accordingly.
While speaking to newsmen, Chief Aruoma challenged Abians in diaspora to expedite actions towards building factories and industries in Abia to make the state economically viable as it were in the days of the then premier eastern region, Dr Michael Iheonulaka Okpara.
According to him, “Our people have the desire for development anywhere they find themselves, but what do they gain in return, humiliation, maltreatment and marginalization” adding that “we should think home and invest in Umuahia as we have no other place to retire than here in abia.
He ecpress optimism that the lost glory could be regained if abians would come together to invest in their father land
Chief Aruoma who outlined his administration’s vision in developing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises(SMEs), in the State, noted that the year 2022 is filled with more business prospects to both the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs),operators in the State.
He, however, encouraged SMEs operators to ensure that their customers remain their prospective partners and strive to work in harmony with them for the best result.
The UCCIMA boss also said that serving clients is not a once and done proposition, pointing out that clients or customers are the people who keep entrepreneurs in business, as they pay for products and services, which makes the business to keep on flourishing.
The President of Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, further reminded business owners in Umuahia that are yet to register with the Chamber to do so, so as to avail themselves of the business opportunities lined up for the year.
