Insecurity: NIWOSEC postpones Nigerian Worker summit in Abuja

The Board of Trustees, management of Nigerian Workforce Strategy and Enlighenment Centre (NIWOSEC) and General Organising Committee of Nigerian Workers Summit (NWS) Award 2022 has regretted the postponment of the summit scheduled for August 2nd to 4th, 2022
This is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Director and Lead Strategist of NIWOSEC, Dr David Kayode Ehindero and made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
The statement reads, “We regret to announce the postponment of this award event due to the insecurity challenge in the country. Though, we have committed massive resources to this cause.
“The effort, commitment and Support of our partners, stakeholders, Committees and numerous Workers who have showed interest from the public and private sectors is overwhelming.
“However, the postponment of the summit is beyond our control considering the worsening insecurity situation bedeviling the nation. Having received security advice and calls the Nigerian Workers summit is regrettably hereby postponed.”
The statement noted that a new schedule will be communicated as soon the situation improves.
It emphasised, “We assure our esteemed partners of commitment to see our vision in building a patriotic and value-adding workforce for a better Nigeria.”
