Insecurity: Chief of Defense Staff, Irabor charges youths to join hands with military to make Nigeria safe for all

The Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor has charged the young generation not to put sovereign and sovereignty of Nigeria under threat while agitate for an egalitarian society.
He said they can achieve their desires by joining hand together with Nigerian Armed Forces and other agencies to ensure the country is safe for all.
According to Irabor said, it’s necessary for us to understand that you as men and women that we are looking up to in the future you must know that the sovereign with you and any person like I and my colleagues in Armed Forces and other agencies for us to work together to ensure that the sovereignty is safe, and sovereign is safe so, our quest for having our desire of an egalitarian society can be achieved.
General Irabor gave the charge at the commissioning of renovated Students Union Building, “The Ken Saro-Wiwa Peace and Leadership Centre” of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State over the weekend.
He maintained that if there must be a physical change in the country there is a need to build leadership capacity and capabilities from institutions across Nigeria.
He noted that there must be a change in the way of doing things by both leadership and low levels.
Irabor charged the student leaders to equip themselves with the mental capacity to lead the larger student body.
He said, “Leadership skills in giving direction to any establishment, this is the reason why we believe that the renovation of the Students Union Building is a good starting point and indeed the link between not just alumni equally with the leadership of the University to begin to see how the problem can be solved.
“We identify the students union building as a starting point. We believe that if there is to bring physical change within our environment those to focus on are the students.
“In addition to being serious with your study and ensure you come out with skills because the future of our nation and across the world is depended on those who have skills.” he said
In his address, the Obafemi Awolowo University, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simeon Bamire described the comprehensive renovation and rehabilitation of the Students Union Building as the first of its kind.
Bamire commended the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor for the renovation of the building which he said will enhance the development and creative thinking in the University setting.
However, the Students Union President of Obafemi Awolowo University Olayiwola Folahan
lauded the Gen. Lucky Irabor for financial support in the actualization of this monumental project.
