The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers has urged the public to come forward and pick their voter cards to enable them exercise their voting right in the 2023 polls.
INEC gave the advice on Wednesday in a statement issued to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Geraldine Ekelemu, in Port Harcourt.
“The Management of the Independent National Electoral Commission wishes to inform the general public that the voter cards for fresh registrants who registered between June and December 2021 in Rivers State are ready for pick up in the INEC offices.
“The cards are also ready in the local government areas from April 26, by 9 a.m. to 3p.m“, the statement said.
It implored those concerned to personally collect the cards at the designated places.
“On no account should anyone’s card be collected by proxy, “the statement emphasised.
