Imo Govt. restates commitment to delivery of quality infrastructure

The Imo Government has restated its commitment to the delivery of quality infrastructure in the state.

The Commissioner for Works, Mr Ralph Nwosu, reaffirmed the commitment while addressing newsmen on Friday in Owerri as part of activities to mark Gov. Hope Uzodinma’s one year in office.

It was stated that Uzodinma was sworn in as Imo governor on Jan. 15, 2020 after a Supreme Court judgement that ousted the erstwhile governor, Mr Emeka Ihedioha.

Nwosu, who said that his ministry would not compromise on quality, added that the government was taking its time so as to ensure quality jobs.

He called on Imo residents to be patient with the government as, according to him, road rehabilitation will resume after the completion of ongoing drainage works.

“We want to assure the good people of Imo that we will never compromise quality. We are committed to quality service delivery and nothing short of it.

“We urge everyone to be patient with us because we will all smile in the end,” he said.

On ongoing urban renewal in Owerri and environs, the commissioner said that the project would be completed in six months.

According to him, adequate provision has been made in the 2021 budget for funding of ongoing projects to facilitate their timely completion.
