Nigerians have been urged to allow the lessons of Ramadan bring a positive change in their ways of life.

The Olu of Lisa kingdom, Oba Nojeemdeen Oladele Odugbemi gave the advice at a ceremony during the distribution of bags of rice to thousands of individuals in the Lisa community.

Oba Odugbemi said that the just concluded 30 days of Ramadan  was a moment  for people to beg for forgiveness of sins and chart a new course for societal development.

The Royal father urged all Nigerians to be united and be  prayerful so that the country will continue to be one indivisible entity despite the security and economic challenges facing the nation.

He called on the government to as a matter of urgency find a lasting solution to the issue of food crisis as Nigerians are groaning in pains and hunger.

Oba Odugbemi admonished the  government at all levels to use the period of rainy season to re-design techniques and ways  to arrest the challenges of food scarcity being experienced in the country.

He also advised the government to be more proactive in its policies and programmes, saying that the economic policies must have a human face to ease tension.

Oba Odugbemi charged Nigerians to pray fervently and support the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for him to succeed at revamping the nation’s ailing economy.
