I’ll prioritise civil servants welfare — Kwara Gov.
The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of state’s civil servants, with promise to make them happy throughout his tenure.
The Governor gave the assurance at the Kwara State Civil Service Dinner and Award night, according to a statement by his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Sunday.
“On our part as a state, we will make sure we always do the most responsible and sustainable things for you (civil servants) to make sure you have a conducive environment to work, and make sure your salaries are paid as and when due.
“We will do the needful to make you happy. Once you are happy you will deliver the service to the state,” the statement quoted him as saying.
Meanwhile, the Governor also presented a car key to the winner of the State’s Civil Service Award, Dr. Kazeem Lakadir.
The Governor said the award was in recognition and appreciation of Lakadir’s outstanding performance and character in the service.
While congratulating the star winner and other awardees, AbdulRazaq promised to sustain his administration’s motivational programmes for the workforce in the state.
“Let me congratulate the awardees of this event. It is truly well deserved. It is a good thing to make sure that the workforce is happy, to rally them together and make sure the right things are done for the state,” he said.
“By the special grace of God this event will be bigger next year. As you know our government takes your welfare very seriously and we will always do that,” he added
