Fidelis Ilechukwu is set to remain in charge of Plateau United after he was offered a mouth-watering contract by the club.

The young tactician was reportedly set for a move to another Nigeria Premier League club, Rangers, following the expiration of his contract.

News, however, learnt that the former MFM FC gaffer is now willing to continue with the Jos club after an improved offer was dangled at him.

Ilechukwu joined Plateau United two years ago after ending his stay with Heartland.

He led the Peace Boys to a second-place finish in his first season at the club.

They, however, missed out on a place in Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs last season after finishing fifth in the regular season.
