Ilase-Alari road: Ogun Assembly invites contractor over slow pace of work

Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Works and Infrastructure has expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work by the contractor handling Ilase-Alari road project.

The House Committee members led by Hon. Abayomi Fasuwa, expressed the displeasure during an on-the-spot assessment of  road projects under construction in Yewa North and South Local Government areas of the State.

Commending other contractors handling road projects in the area for the quality of works, Hon. Fasuwa noted that the speedy completion of the  Ilase-Koko-Alari road project was meant to ease the movement of residents and promote the economic growth of the rural area; hence the need for the contractors to intensify efforts towards its timely completion.

The House Committee therefore called on HAJAIG Construction Company, which had been handling the road construction since two months ago to appear before the Committee on the 27th of July 2021, with all contract documents at the State House of Assembly complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta by 2pm.
