Ikpobe, Adedipe, 23 others bag IOD Fellows

…As Frank Aigbogun receives Honorary Fellow of  IOD

The Institute of Directors ( IOD) Nigeria yesterday elevated Chairman, Just Food West Africa, Mr Apollo’s IKPOBE; Founder, B. ADEDIPE Associates, Dr Biodun ADEDIPE; and 23 members of the Institute who have committed themselves to be change agents in their business and private lives as Fellows during Fellows Investiture Ceremony. Also, the Publisher of BusinessDay Media bagged Honorary Fellows for being outstanding in sustaining a business newspaper in Nigeria regardless of the economic challenges.

Other recipients include Group Managing Director VDT Communications Engr Biodun Omoniyi, Former MD Coca-Cola Mr Owoseni Adetu, Managing Director STL Trustees Mrs Funmi Ekundayo, Principal Partner A.A Akiide & Co Mr Akiide Akinkunle, Former Executive Director Heritage Bank Jude Monte, Founder PE Energy Limited Daere Akobo, Founder Sentinel Consulting Mr Dipo Oyewole and  Group Executive Director, NewCriss Group Dr Bolaji Ogundare among otgers.

In its 2022 Fellows’ Investiture held in Lagos on Thursday, themed, “Leadership in Disruptive Times: Surviving the Uncertainties,” the Guest Speaker lectured members and guests on the need to have open mind to be able to respond to disruptive development like technological changes. This, according to him will enable members to have a larger share of the market in their respective areas of specialisation.

The Chairman, Fellows and Award Committee, Arc. Thomas C. Awagu while giving his welcome address noted that those selected out 400 members are leaders who have been in the forefront of selfless service for the Institute as members over a period of time. He said the awardees have also  been in the forefront of promoting  good corporate governance and best international practice in the Nigerian public and private sectors.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to  everyone for being part of the occasion, as they were all aware that the Fellows’ Investiture is an occasion where the institute celebrates its members.

“On behalf of the Fellows’ Award Committee my deep appreciation goes to President  and Chairman of Governing Council, Dr. Mrs Ije Jidenma and members of Governing Council and Management for the unwavering support given to the committee through out the process of the assignment,” he said.

He urged new fellows to continue to abide with institute’s code of entry, related obligations and commitment.

President and Chairman of Governing Council, Dr ( Mrs) One Jidenma F.IoD  appreciated members of the Fellows Award Committee for their  hardwork, dedication and commitment.

“It is important to know that without your guidance, support and untiring efforts, this occasion cannot take place. I’m particularly elated, that we are able to post this device even today,” she said.

Dr Biodun Adedipe who spoke on behalf of the awardees assured the Institute of excellent display of integrity that will attract other professionals  and accolade by the general public.
