Ikeja court arraigns suspect for allegedly stealing luxury car worth N7m

In an Ikeja High Court, Ibrahim Damana was brought before the judge on Monday for the alleged theft of a grey Lexus Rx350 valued at N7 million.

The accused, whose personal details were not disclosed, is being charged with conspiracy and armed robbery, both of which he pleaded not guilty to.

According to the Lagos State Prosecutor, Mr Ola Azeez, Ibrahim, along with unidentified accomplices, conspired to carry out the robbery on July 17, 2021, in the Berger area of Lagos State.

Azeez said that the suspect, with his conspirators, while armed with an AK-47 rifle, robbed one Osagie of a grey Lexus Rx350 worth N7 million, belonging to one Ogunsina Adeola.

The prosecutor, thereafter, applied for a trial date in view of the plea of the defendant.

He said that the offences contravened the provisìons of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Justice Oyindamola Ogala, after approving witness summons, adjourned the matter to Jan. 24, 2024 and Jan. 31, 2024 for commencement of trial.
