#EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest. Speaking during a live broadcast on Nigeria Info FM, Sowore disclosed that a formal letter of request has been prepared and is scheduled for submission to the IG on Monday.

Additionally, Sowore criticized any attempt to collect names of protest organizers, arguing that such an endeavor would be impractical given the scale of potential participants. He emphasized that his legal team would formally communicate these concerns to the Inspector General.

In a related development last week, IG Kayode Egbetokun had issued directives for organizers of the planned #EndBadGovernance protests across Nigeria to provide their contact details and addresses to their respective state police commissioners.

This move, Egbetokun explained during a press briefing at the Force Headquarters, was intended to ensure the peaceful conduct of the protests while safeguarding public safety and maintaining order. He emphasized the constitutional right of Nigerian citizens to peaceful assembly and pledged adequate police deployment and resources to ensure a secure environment during the protests.
