Igbo Trader allegedly beats woman to stupor in Ekiti

An Igbo trader simply identified as Charles Nwankwor was reported to have beaten a woman to stupor in Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital, Nigerian NewsDirect gathered.

The woman was hospitalised at the accident and emergency Unit, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti as a result of the serious beating by the Igbo trader.

An eye-witness who identified himself as Mr Lamidi Ishola narrated to our Correspondent that the woman, Mrs Adeola Adeniran by name, a trader and shop owner at post office had a clash with the Igbo trader who she accused of putting his goods in front of her shop.

According to the eye-witness, the woman and the Igbo trader have had similar clash on countless occasions and have gone to police station and the king’s palace on several times for settlement.

The Igbo trader was said to have refused to obey the order to given him not to display his goods infront of the woman’s shop which is far away distance from his shop.

Efforts are being made to get him arrested, as he is currently at large, Nigerian NewsDirect reports.
