Ife will take its rightful position, if elected- APC candidate, Adereti

The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Ife Federal constituency, Engr. Benjamin Adereti says Ifeland will take its rightful position in the comity of federal constituencies if elected.

According to him, “I will deliver goodies of democracy to the people of Ife Federal Constituency and project our land on the national level to take back our place in the comity of federal constituencies”.

Benjamin, who spoke with newsmen said, if elected, he would ensure that the right things due to Ife wound be given to the people of Ife land. “I will work assiduously to ensure that they get it. I will be representative that will belong to a mainstream politics because I am sure that APC will win presidency to have direct access to things that have alluded us in the past”.

“I will ensure that the programmes for farmers, artisans, market women, youths get to them. I will use my knowledge, influence and working in the National Assembly and serious engagement to ensure that the farmers have access to loans”.

Speaking on the destruction of his campaign billboards, Benjamin averred that about 27 APC campaign billboards and banners were destroyed and the action was carried out when PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar visited Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi in his palace.

“We know the source but our task, vision and focus is to build our land which is most precious to us and we will not engage in activities that will endanger life of our citizens. I want to appeal to all to desist from destroying opponents’ posters and billboards.

“I am aware of internal crisis that occured within PDP after the visit of their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to Ile-Ife which led to the tearing of their billboards and posters. They should limit whatever intra-party crisis they have within their party and not to transfer their aggression to the good people of Ile-Ife.

“We want peace and I am appealing to everyone either in APC, PDP or LP to allow peace to reign supreme and it is in an atmosphere of peace that we can have development and progress.

“As a law abiding citizen, we have submitted petition to law enforcement agencies in the state and to the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi with a view to allow peace to reign. I believe the security agencies will take steps to restore peace”.

The APC candidate stressed that he would honour invitation of the palace of Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, if invited for peace talk, saying Ooni is his father. “I will definitely honour him. It is Ife that is inviting us and I will abide by the resolutions of the palace and the other parties should abide by it”.

Benjamin therefore, urged electorate to vote for him as a member, House of Representatives, Ife Federal Constituency come 2023 general elections. He admonished them to vote according to their conscience and elect the right candidate that will deliver dividends of democracy to them.
