Ife central state House of Assembly election inconclusive as INEC returning officer abscond from collation centre without an announcement of result

INEC Returning Officer for Ife Central State Constituency Dr. Adeola Oluwabiyi of the Faculty of Law of Obafemi Awolowo University declined enquiry and observation from the APC agent, Mr Samson Falope concerning the collation process without considering about 23 units with a total of almost 12, 000 Registered Votes where electioneering process and voting were violently disrupted or units where over voting took place. Since the total Votes Cast is shy of 20, 000, the election should be declared inconclusive and a supplementary in the 23 units conducted.

The returning officer rather than engage the APC Agent constructively for clarification decided to leave the Collation Centre with the results without declaration.
