I, MR. IDEMUDIA OSEMOAHU, have been living in fear and running for my dear life prior post election that was held 25th of February. I was a delegate to one of the competing parties  and my dad was the Community Chairman. My Dad and I were compelled to favour a presidential candidate but he refused because of his religion and told me not to display any form of partiality that whoever wins. Let it be so which I concord to but January 8th, some group of boys came with money and my Dad turned down the money and said he should act according to the will of the people and they left angrily, came back on the 9th looking for me to convince me to favour them and I turned down the offer but unfortunately, my Dad went for a meeting on the 10th of January and coming back home he was kidnapped and eventually killed him.

This made me more fearful because I was told if I don’t act according to their wish, they would kill me just the way they did to my Dad and ever since then, I have been in hiding  though the government provided security prior to the election. But that wasn’t enough. Unfortunately, after the announcing of the final result of the election, the boys’ anger was more infuriating and this made them to start searching for all delegates which made me run out of our residence and ever since then, I have been in fear. Luckily for me, the visa application I made became a success and I had to quickly get means by soliciting for money for airline that brought me down here to seek for refuge.
