Ibom Air to resume Enugu flights on May 4 as airport reopens

Ibom Air has announced that it will resume flight operations to Enugu on Sunday, May 4, following the reopening of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by Mrs Aniekan Essienette, Group Manager, Marketing and Communication for Ibom Air, in Uyo.

Essienette expressed the airline’s appreciation to passengers for their patience and understanding during the temporary suspension of services to Enugu.

“Following the reopening of Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA), Ibom Air is pleased to announce the resumption of its flight operations to and from Enugu, effective Sunday, 4 May,” she stated.

She explained that the decision follows the issuance of an official NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) on 28 April, confirming that Runway 08/26 at the Enugu airport has been cleared for full operations.

“As a result, all scheduled Ibom Air flights to and from Enugu from 4 May onwards have been reinstated,” she said.

Essienette added that the airline’s Customer Service Team is currently in contact with affected passengers to assist with rebooking and alternative travel plans where necessary.

She reaffirmed Ibom Air’s commitment to delivering the safe, dependable, and punctual service that customers have come to expect.
