Ahead of Saturday general election, the publisher, Nigerian NewsDirect Newspaper, Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, Hon. Wale Ojo, Hon. Bukola Ojuade, Hon. Bisola Adeyeni among other All Progressives Congress stalwarts in Ile-Ife have on Sunday led other leaders in the Local Government Area to canvass votes for candidates of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Israel Famurewa, Benjamin Adereti and Hon. Jide Adeyeye for the president, senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly respectively.
The leaders urged electorate to vote APC in all elections to continue enjoying dividends of democracy in the country, adding that APC is the only party that can rescue Nigeria.
Speaking, Hon. Olusegun Adeyeni said the campaign has been held in Ife North, and this is the turn of Ife-East and Ife Ooye Development Area Council to allow members of the party and electorate to know the importance of the coming election on the need to vote APC in Ifeland.
“The Saturday election will determine the state and future ahead of the nation, stressing that Yoruba is the presidential candidate of APC and the need to support Yoruba, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president. This election will determine if Nigeria will still continue to exist as one, because Yoruba has been agitating for Oodua Republic”.
The chairman of the APC Campaign Council for Ife Federal Constituency, Barr. Wale Ojo urged members of the party to mobilize and come out en mass to vote all APC candidates from presidency to House of Assembly in Ifeland.
“All APC members should embark on house to house, neighbor to neighbor, unit to unit and ward to ward campaign to mobilize people to vote all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections”.
Dr. Ibiyemi however, urged the electorate to vote for candidates of the APC in the Saturday election, saying APC is a party to beat in this election and vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president and other APC candidates in Ifeland.
Other leaders of the party enjoined members of the party to continue mobilizing ahead of the Saturday election with a view to win election from presidency to House of Assembly.
