Ibiyemi charges youths to prioritize excellence, embrace diversity

The General Manager, Business Development and Strategic Partnership of Nigerian NewsDirect, Mr Mathew Ibiyemi has charged youths to prioritize excellence in their educational career and embrace cultural diversity.
The Newspaper editor made this known while addressing students at the Summit for A More Equitable Society (SUMES) 2023 Fame Initiative held in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Ibiyemi noted that it will be difficult for anyone to get the peak of his or her career without prioritizing excellence.
He urged the students to give their best efforts in emerging with good grades and developing quality skill-set.
He identified cultural proficiency and teamwork regardless of differences as a necessary skill-set.
Speaking further, he said, “Our culture is not local because local language and talent can be exported, if you are speaking Yoruba, speak it very well, if you are speaking Igbo, speak it very well, and if you are speaking Hausa, speak it very well and make sure whatever you are doing are doing it very well.”
Speaking, Prince Ajibade Adeboye called on traditional rulers, stakeholders and political office holders to play their part to have a new Nigeria that will work in favour of the citizens.
Adeboye said that a new Nigeria where governments will held accountable for the role they played when they are government.
According to him, Respect is a bedrock and fundamental requirement for diversity whereby everybody is treated with dignity. Nigeria is made over 200 ethnic groups which should be a strength for us.
“There must be equal opportunities for everybody in Nigeria no matter your religion, or tribe. All plans to manage our diversity and State inclusion must address poverty and corruption that leads to unaccess to equal opportunities in Nigeria.
