Ibironke Adeagbo, raising children to be stars, change-makers

Mrs.Ibironke Adeagbo is the Chief Executive Officer/Founder of Ibironke Adeagbo Foundation (IA Foundation), a charity based organisation in London, England with active operations in Nigeria as well.

She is a Chartered Accountant with over 26 years of experience and knowledge in Finance, Human Resources, Information and Communication Technology, Facilities Management, Learning Resources, Corporate Strategy and other areas in the Public, Private and Voluntary Sectors. Mrs Adeagbo is also a seasoned resource management and financial specialist. an accounting graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.

In October 2021, Mrs Ibironke Adeagbo was listed among 8 Nigerians in diaspora who were honoured for outstanding performances in their various fields. In January 2022, she was named a board member and appointed as Treasurer of the International Charity, StreetInvest. In November 2023, she was listed among the 100 most outstanding Nigerians in Diaspora by Exemplar Magazine.

Mrs Ibironke is an ICAN award winner, also a winner of the Gathering of Africans best in London and a visionary, who is not only passionate about education but committed to reducing the number of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Ibironke’s foundation, IA Foundation works to lift the human conditions of out-of-school children and the girl child to ensure they are educated, to curb insecurity and poverty. It is a UK and Nigerian Registered Charity Organization working to reduce the number of out of school children in Nigeria by providing education for less privileged children in slums and underserved communities.

Its mission is ‘To remove any obstacle that prevents access to good education and Vision to ‘Build a fair and equal society where every child can excel and realise their potentials.’

The foundation has since inception, provided education to over 105 children across Nigeria rescuing them from life on the streets and granting them access to quality education. It has distributed over 5000 learning resources to schools and provided education and economic relief for over 100 households.

Furthermore, IA-Foundation has implemented a clean water project benefitting over 4000 residents of makoko, thereby significantly improving access to safe and potable water in the community.

The Foundation facilitated the graduation of one individual from University, contributing to the advancement of higher education and the attainment of academic goals within our community.

Mrs. Ibironke Adeagbo is committed to making children stars and changemakers who will contribute meaningfully to the society. This has been her driving force prompting many if the projects she has executed via her foundation.
