I will do every thing possible to move Jigawa State out of poverty – Namadi

The Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi has vowed to move Jigawa State out of poverty.

Governor Umar Namadi stated this while disbursing N2.9 million to 4390 youth as financial support to improve their business skills at sir Ahmadu Bello Hall.

The Governor said that “we will continue to assist the teaming youth un till we move Jigawa State out of poverty ” .

Namadi assured that his administration will do every thing possible to move Jigawa State out of poverty before the end of this tenuer in 2027.

He added that under J.care programme the Jigawa State government have proposed to empower 4300 youths to get a financial support of fifty thousand Naira each with a view to improve their business activities

He urged the beneficiaries to utilise the fund given to them assuring them that his government will continue supporting them untill their plan is successful to move out the state and people out of poverty.

In a related Development, Youth and Civil Society Coalition for Development in collaboration with Federal University, Dutse have flagged off the training of 350 women in Jigawa state for job creation and poverty eradication.

Speaking at the occasion the state governor Malam Umar Namadi who was represented by the Executive Secretary youth empowerment Hon Habib Muhd ubali commended the organizer of the two weeks entrepreneur training.

He described the training as a good effort that will complement the state government’s effort on youth and women empowerment.

Dr Habu Ubale noted that youth and women empowerment is one of the key aspect of Governor Namadi 12 point agenda designed for making people productive, self relaint, promote wealth creation, building strong and resilient economy for making Jigawa great.

“We have already renovated and equipped six major skill acquisition centres in the state, and many youth and women are already there receiving various skills training . , Therefore we are ready to partner with any group or individual indicate interest in building our state economy.” He stated.
