I still remain a bonafide member of PDP — Fayose

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has said that he still remain a bonifide member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Fayose said this as a guest on Channels Television Sunday Politics programme. The former governor said that his loyalty still remain with the party and he has no plan to leave anytime soon.
He said that what led to misunderstlanding between him and some leaders of the party was based on his agitation for rotational government.
Fayose said that he fought for the zoning of president to the south based on the principle of the party, but some leaders saw him as an anti party agent.
He suggested the National Assembly entrench in the constitution rotational government to favour all the geo political zones.
Reacting to the coup d’etat which took place in Burkinafaso, Mali, Chad, Niger and Gabon, the former governor said that while he condemned Coup in other countries, he supported that of the Gabon because the President has overstayed in power without making any meaningful impart to the people.
The former governor also said that he will not support the planned strike by The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) because the union did not embark on such strike during the immediate past Muhammadu Buhari regime, mentioning that coming up now to do it during the current admiministration is not appropriate.
He argued that the removal of subsidy is not the making of president Bola Tinubu because it has been written down before the President came.
