Reports indicate that Boko Haram terrorists have killed numerous residents in Mafa village, located in the Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The attack occurred early Monday when the terrorists raided the village. Sources from the community revealed on Tuesday morning that 86 bodies have been recovered and taken to hospitals, with efforts still underway to find additional victims.
A government source confirmed the attack, stating, “Boko Haram massacred approximately 100 people in Mafa village on Monday. The terrorists launched the attack early in the day, resulting in the deaths of about 100 villagers.”
The statement also noted that there will be a mass burial in Damaturu, the state capital, scheduled for today. The search for additional victims is ongoing, with 86 bodies already deposited in hospitals.
