Hundreds defect to APC as Osun Central Senatorial district Women Wing hosts special new year prayer

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Wing of the Osun Central Senatorial District, led by the visionary Mrs. Ibraheem Muslimat, hosted its much-anticipated Special New Year Prayer at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

The event that aimed at fostering party unity and advancing APC’s growth, witnessed the presence of top dignitaries, including former Deputy Governor Mrs. Grace Laoye Ponle, the APC State Chairman, State Woman Leader, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, Pastor Rasak Adeosun, and Hon. Equity, a former House of Assembly member. His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, was specially acknowledged for his leadership and unwavering contributions to the party’s success.

Aside from the prayer, a major highlight of the event was the defection of hundreds of members from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. The APC State Chairman urged members to welcome the defectors without bias, emphasizing inclusivity and promising to prioritize all party members, regardless of when they joined.

The gathering also featured Christian and Muslim prayers for Nigeria, the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, and all party members. Special prayers were also offered for the continued success of the APC in Osun, with hopes of replicating its recent victory in Edo State.

The chairman of the party in his remarks Commends the women’s efforts and praised their pivotal role in strengthening the party and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their contributions.

The event concluded on a high note with a renewed pledge of loyalty to the APC and its leadership, further solidifying the party’s unity and commitment to progress in Osun State.
