How Makun sons, daughters organised befitting 80th birthday, 15th coronation anniversary for Ewusi, Oba Akinsanya-Olootu Oduguwa.
Olootu (Engr) Oye Oduguwa has described the sons and daughters of Makun kingdom, Sagamu as priceless and the best set of human beings in the whole universe given their selflessness and willingness to always rally support for the development of the kingdom.
Olootu (Engr) Oduguwa who is the Secretary of Makun Development Council gave this commendation while speaking on the just concluded 80th birthday and 15th year coronation anniversary of the Ewusi of Makun, Sagamu, Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, the Orungba II.
The young and enterprising Oduguwa who served as the Secretary-General of the Planning Committee of this two-in-one occasion, was of immense gratitude to all the members of the committee and sub-committes who generously gave their all, both financially and morally to ensure that the memories of this colourful occasion live for a very long time in the heart of the people of Makun kingdom.
He explained that the members of the committee as well as other sons and daughters of Makun kingdom both at home and abroad deemed it fit to celebrate their royal father, Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya because of his unparalleled love for the advancement of the kingdom.
He said “and this they all did in grand style making available their resources to celebrate the traditional ruler all in a bid to encourage him to do a lot more for his people in Makun kingdom”.
Olootu Oduguwa listed the members of the Planning Committee to include the industrialist and Asiwaju of Remo land, Chief S K Onafowokan who served as the Co-ordinator, Mr Sammy Ogunjimi, the Chairman, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, the GMD of Adron Homes who first chaired the committee before handing the baton to Mr Sammy Ogunjimi due to busy schedule as well as the CEO of Awabat Oil, Prince Abdul Abayomi who served as the Co-chairman.
Other members of the committee are Oba Solomon Oguntade, Sir Teju Ogunjimi, Chief Ola Ogunyemi, Ms Kenny Oyedipe, DIG Peter Ogunyanwo (rtd), Engr Wale Fayemi, Mr Kenneth Odusanya, Prince Seyi Akinsanya, Chief Jimi Ogunyanwo, Mr Olusegun Dada.
Others are Hon Adewunmi Onanuga currently representing Remo Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Mrs Ronke Soyombo, Special Adviser to Gov Dapo Abiodun on Primary and Secondary education, Mr Kofoworola Ayodele, Mr Bankole Kalejaye, Hon (Mrs) Funmi Afuwape, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ogun State as well as Hon Adeniran Ademola Adeyinka representing Sagamu constituency II at Ogun State House of Assembly.
Those remaining are Otunba Nasir Atoloye, Mr Abiodun Ogunjimi, Prince Yomi Ogunsowo and Sir Biodun Ogunkoya.
Engr. Oduguwa who thanked the almighty God for the success of the occasion disclosed that the selflessness and sacrifice displayed by all the members of the committee and other sub-committes as well as other sons and daughters of Makun kingdom towards the event was commendable praying the almighty God to continue to shower his unending blessings on them.
Olootu Oduguwa who also rejoiced with Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Orungba the second, on this epoch-making event prayed the almighty God to further lengthen the life of the royal father and make his reign more peaceful and prosperous.
