‘How Fulani herdsmen brutalised, killed our people’

Nigerians in the diaspora have condemned the bruratality and killing of Nigerian citizens by the Fulani Herdsmen.

They urged the federal government to come up with workable strategies to eradicate the activities of the terror Fulani Herdsmen.

One of the Nigerians who escaped death from the Fulani herdsmen, Oriyomi Babatunde, said the governments in other countries should render the needed help to Nigerians across the world.

Babarunde noted that the sons of his friends have narrowly escaped to other countries while many are still battling with the challenge in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that the Fulani herdsmen were reported to have attacked and killed one Mrs. Funke Olakurin, the daughter of Afenifere leader, pa Fasoranti, on the 13th of July 2019.

Speaking, Babatunde said to save his life, one of his friends who has been in the forefront of fighting against the Fulani herdsmen in Southwest Nigeria, Temitipe Abioye, had to leave Nigeria for Canada when his life was no more safe in Nigeria.

He described Abioye as a Christian from the Yoruba cultural group who is standing against violation of human rights.

“This has put him at great danger due to his stand against rights abuse and victimisation by the Fulani Herdsmen who have become a source of worry and threats to his entire village and community.

“Abioye is a kind hearted person, a lover of humanity and right advocate, will continue to use her passion to advance the course of protecting people’s rights and caring for people in general.”
