How Amotekun arrested 16yr-old serial rapist, others in Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested a 16-year-old boy, Precious Epeboboye for allegedly raping wife of his brother.
Described as a serial rapist, Epeboboye was paraded alongside with others criminals at the weekend before journalists by the state’s Amotekun Corps Commander, Adetunji Adeleye.
The suspect who confessed to the crime while speaking with journalists said, “I came to her house in the night when she was sleeping and she was naked when I raped her. My brother was not around when I raped her and I have raped 9 ladies.”
According to Adeleye, the suspect raped the victim at a farm settlement called ‘Laoso’ in Ondo West Local Government Area of the state, adding that no fewer than 100 persons have been arrested by the Corps for allegedly involving in various criminal activities since the establishment of operation ‘Gbale Gbako’ in the state.
Specifically, the corps mentioned that the suspects were involved in various criminal offences which include armed robbery, stealing , rape among others, and they were arrested at different locations in the state.
Adeleye, who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Security Matters, however, declared that the state was determined to wage war against criminals in the state.
“As we speak now, we have put measures in place in order to ensure that our roads are safe from criminals. We want to reassure the good people of Ondo state to go about their normal duties,”he said.
