Hoodlums kill security guard in Asaba as” One chance” robbers rob passengers on Benin – Asaba Expressway

Hoodlums Operating across Delta state on Wednesday evening allegedly killed a middle aged security guard Identified as Mark Jidel a native of Taraba state who until his prematured death was a guard at Neol Ojei Holdings along Asaba- Benin Expressway.

It was gathered that the security guard had over times complained to his church pastor including members of the Church that Criminals frequent the Company and as such made attempts to vandalize the Company’s Property.

But his complaints, Insiders said was treated with a pinch of salt until the fateful Wednesday evening while he was on duty post when the said hoodlums invaded the Company and allegedly stabbed him severally on the shoulder including inserting an iron rod into his body after he had given up the ghost, covered the blood splashes with ashes on the ground before they disappeared into the thin air

His church member John Ifeokwu who spoke to Journalists in the area described the late security guard a good Christian who was dedicated to his duty adding he had complained about the Criminals prior to the incident as his corpse was discovered in the early hours of Thursday along the expressway, leaving the situation in shock and dismay at the scene.

But the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya who Confirmed the incident to Journalists in Asaba said that the management of the Company, Noel Ojei Holdings mobilized the Police to desposit the Corpse at the mortuary at the Federal Medical Center,( FMC) Asaba, adding that investigation was on going with a view to bringing the hoodlums to arrest.

Meanwhile, armed bandits who operate on Asaba- Benin Expressway in the early hours of Thursday allegedly robbed some Passengers on 18-seater bus with registration number AA238AL heading towards Benin City, Edo state with full load of passengers

It was gathered that the robbers disguised as genuine bus Operators around Okwe Junction in Asaba where they started picking the passengers until it was 18 persons when one dropped before Agbor and entered into the bush leaving the driver of the Bus and one other armed with the passengers.
