……Pledges to prioritise staff welfare, transform NIPOST
Honourable Adepoju Adeyemi Sunday on Wednesday assumed duty as the Postmaster General of the Federation/CEO Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).
Adepoju in his maiden address to the top management of the organization promised to leave the agency better than he met it.
He assured staff that he will put in his best with their supports to ensure the smooth transformation of NIPOST.
He said, “welfare is going to be my concern because a happy staff will put in his/her best in delivery of obligations to the organization”.
Until his appointment, Hon. Adepoju who is a professional Accountant has held several appointments as an Accountant in several private organizations and later Special Assistant on Account Matters to ex-governor of Lagos State; Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also Senior Special Assistant to Ex-Governor; Raji Rasaq Fashola.
Also he was a two-term member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ibarapa/Ido Federal constituency of Oyo state, spanning the period 2011 to 2019.
The new Postmaster General is a graduate of Accountancy from Yaba Tech.; he obtained HND in Accountancy and later MBA in Federal University of Technology, Akure.
He has several awards to his name and membership of some institutes
His tenure is for an initial term of five (5) years.
