Homosexuality: Police declare men wanted

The authority of the Nigeria Police Force has declared five men wanted for allegedly practicing homosexuality.

Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the men include: Muyiwa Ajayi, Afe Oyinloluwa Adesile, Obina Kingsley, Kehinde Abiona, and Akinola Tunde were caught practicing homosexuality by the people of the community on Sunday, 29th May, 2022.

   

They, however, fled the scene of the incident and members of the public are by this information informed to report their whereabouts.

“We have carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act and we found it to be true.

“Sadly, in an attempt to apprehend them, they escaped.

“Anyone with any useful information about their whereabouts should kindly contact the nearest police station as various attempts to arrest and prosecute them have proven abortive,” the statement said.
