Homosexual meets tragic end, as lover absconds

The issue of homosexuality in our contemporary culture has generated so many acrimonies in our country, Nigeria, and Africa as a whole. As it’s regarded as an abominable practice. Whoever practices is seen as someone who is against the people and is capable of being chased out of the town or outright lynching by the youths based on instructions by the elders.

On August 23, 2021, a gay couple were having fun in an apartment which also harbours  married couples. Fortunately, the apartment belonged to one of the gay partners. Those involved are Nwalozie Levi Ikechukwu in his early 40s,  a driver to Mr James Eke who is in his late 50s who resides in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. Mr James Eke and his gay partner, Nwalozie Levi Ikechukwu were caught in action right on his matrimonial bed by his house maid whose shout of shock attracted Mr James Eke’s wife, Mrs Bernice Ify Eke.

On seeing what happened the woman fainted and all effort to revive her failed hence she died the third day.

The family of Mrs Bernice Ify Eke didn’t take it lightly, and on September 2nd, 2021, reported to the police. Hence, Mr James Eke and his (gay partner) driver Nwalozie Levi Ikechukwu were arrested by police after narrowly escaped being lynched by the youths. However it was not yet uhuru for the gay love birds as they faced another round of torture, and after some days Mr James Eke went into coma, and before help could come he died.

Before Mr James Eke died, he made an open confession concerning his deep involvement with his driver, Mr Nwalozie Levi. Mr Nwalozie Levi managed to gain freedom from the police but found himself in hot water with people and community as he has been declared wanted and since then his whereabouts has remained unknown.

The duo (James Eke and his driver Levi Ikechukwu) were arrested. While in custody Mr James Eke was beaten, tortured and abused, a few days later he slumped and was rushed to a nearby medical facility after frantic efforts by the doctors and nurses to resuscitate him yielded no positive result. Later that afternoon he was pronounced dead. What a tragedy!

Before his eventual death, Mr James Eke opened up his involvement in the allegations as a homosexual in love with his driver and many others, he lured Levi into the amorphous conduct which he deeply regretted.

Though Mr Eke had been committed to mother earth, his partner Mr Levi is at large and police and Eke’s family are in serious search for him, hence the police declared him ‘WANTED.’
