A 39-year-old resident of Lagos State, Olushola Oni, has been remanded in connection with an alleged homosexual event.

Olushola, remanded two weeks ago, was said to have been arrested at a secret party organised for homosexual partners.

It was also gathered that one Oluwaseun Egbe, a wanted partner of Olushola is still at large, as the police are yet to ascertain her whereabouts.

Olushola was reported to have been arrested in August 2023 following the confession of Olushola to be in a relationship with Egbe.

A lawyer, who pleaded for anonymity, said the court remanded Olushola amid ongoing police investigation into the nature of relationship between both partners.

“It’s really a delicate situation. So, this Olushola that was remanded used to have a partner that the police have been looking for since last year.

“The partner, one Seun who was arrested last year for being a lesbian partner of Olushola. But after the arrest, she found a way to escape from the custody of the police hence, she has been  at large.

“So it’s like a case of arresting one of a two-member gang while the other one is at large.”
