Hit-and-run vehicle kills motorcyclist in Osun

A hit-and-run vehicle on Saturday evening killed a motorcyclist around Malam  Tope area, Osogbo-Ikirun highway in Osogbo.

The accident which reportedly happened around 9:04p.m. involved a red Boxer Bajaj motorcycle, with registration RLG153QC and an unknown vehicle.

It was learnt that the motorcyclist died on the spot.

The Sector Public Education Officer for Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Agnes Ogungbemi, while confirming the incident, said the accident might be caused by overspeeding.

She said the corpse has been taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo morgue, while the Motorcycle recovered is in sector’s possession.
