Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board.
Describing Lekki’s passing as a “rude shock” and a significant loss for the state, Sanwo-Olu issued a statement through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile.
Lekki died in the early hours of Wednesday following a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to empowering young people through education.
Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Lekki’s commitment to the Scholarship Board, emphasising his impact on countless lives.
“I am saddened by the death of Abdulrahman Lekki. He was diligently committed to empowering many young people through education.
“Abdulrahman Lekki will be greatly missed, particularly by the Lagos State Scholarship Board,” said Sanwo-Olu.
The Governor extended his condolences to Lekki’s family, friends, and colleagues, praying for the departed’s eternal rest and for his loved ones to find solace in this challenging time
