He no longer has 20-year-old legs – Al-Ettifaq defender sends message to Ronaldo’s teammates

Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ettifaq defender Marcel Tisserand has sent a message to Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammates.

He said the 37-year-old is sharp and adapting quickly to life at the Arab club amidst claims that the forward is past his best.

The defender said Ronaldo’s teammates must be ready to supply him the ball as he makes sharp movements in the opposition box.

The football icon made his debut for Al-Nassr last weekend and played the full 90 minutes as his side claimed a 1-0 victory over Ettifaq.

Ronaldo came up against French-Congolese defender Tisserand, and the defender has now opened up on the experience of going up against the legendary goalscorer. :

“You can see that he takes good care of himself. It is certain that he no longer has his 20-year-old legs,” he told Foot Mercato.

“We see that now he needs his teammates a little more. He plays a lot more with his head, pays more attention to his movements, and to his sense of timing. He evolves with the times. I think he will adapt quite quickly to this championship.”
