Group commends Jigawa Govt over 260 nomadic schools

A pastoral socio-cultural group, Kautal Hore, has commended Jigawa government over establishment of additional 260 nomadic schools across the state.
The group’s Chairman, Alhaji Umar Dubantu made the commendation in an interview with  Newsmen in Dutse on Saturday.
He said that with establishent of additional 260 schools the state could now boast of 460 nomadic learning centres, adding that 11 of them had been designated junior secondary schools.
The gesture, he said, would enhance access to quality education, retention and completion of schools in pastoral settlements.
“The government commitment to promote nomadic education is commendable, particularly the establishment of junior secondary schools as transition has been one of the problems militating against nomadic education in the state.
“This will enable pupils to further their education beyond basic level,” he said
He, therefore, urged parents to complement the gesture and enrol their wards in school.
