Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, conducted an on-site assessment of the multi-billion naira Kafinchiri Irrigation Project in Garko Local Government Area.
The project, valued at N2.5 billion, aims to enhance year-round farming, food security, and economic growth.
Governor Yusuf emphasized the project’s significance, urging residents to take advantage of its opportunities to improve their socio-economic conditions and contribute to the state’s development.
Additionally, the Governor revoked the contract for the Garko five-kilometer road project due to the contractor’s failure to mobilize to the site.
A new contractor will be appointed within days to ensure timely completion.
Governor Yusuf also announced plans to establish a modern health facility in Garko town, bringing healthcare services closer to the community.
The Governor expressed gratitude for local support and reiterated his administration’s commitment to progress.
