Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has described the late Emir of Dutse, Dr Nuhu Sunusi as a respected and resourceful royal father who contributed immensely to the development of the country.
Yahaya in his condolence message issued on Wednesday in Gombe by his media aide, Mr. Ismaila Uba-Misilli, said the emir’s death was a huge loss to Jigawa, Dutse Emirate and Nigeria as a whole.
He said added that the late emir was “always at the forefront in preaching and promoting unity and harmony among the people of his domain, Jigawa and the nation at large.”
He therefore consoled the bereaved royal family members, urging them to take solace in the fact that the late emir left behind legacies of honour, dignity and selfless service.
Yahaya also extended his heartfelt condolences to Gov. Badaru Abubakar, the State Council of Emirs and Chiefs and members of Dutse royal family.
“I pray Almighty Allah to grant the deceased monarch Al Jannatul Firdaus and comfort those he left behind.”
