Gov Namadi vows to prosecute hoodlums who hijacked protest, looted property

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has expressed concern over the recent incidents of flooding in the state, which affected 13 local government areas and resulted in loss of lives and property.

Despite this, the governor is optimistic about a bumper harvest and has launched a distribution of 24,000 bags of rice and assorted grains to vulnerable households across the state.

However, Namadi expressed dismay over the recent protest, which he claimed was hijacked by hoodlums who looted public properties and food items. He assured that his government will remain committed to providing job opportunities and improving the livelihood of citizens, but warned that those who participated in the protest and looted properties will face the consequences of their actions.

The governor described the actors as political detractors who are ready to downgrade the image of the government because of their political motives.
He also commended the federal government for its support in providing food items to the state.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) representative, Malam Nura Abdullahi, commended the governor for his prompt action over the flooding incident and urged him to continue supporting his people.
