Gov Namadi signs N698.3bn 2025 budget into law

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has signed the 2025 budget into law, describing it as the highest budget in the state’s history.
The budget, tagged “The Budget of Innovation & Transformation for Greater Jigawa,” totals N698.3 billion, with a focus on capital investment, accounting for 76% of the total budget.
At the signing ceremony held at the Government House on Tuesday, Governor Namadi expressed his gratitude to the members of the state House of Assembly and the executive council for their efforts in making the budget a reality.
The governor emphasized the importance of implementing the budget, urging all stakeholders to work together diligently.
He acknowledged the pressure to finalize the budget, appreciating the contributions of all individuals involved in the process.
Key allocations in the budget include N534.76 billion for capital investment, N90.76 billion for personnel costs, and N63.69 billion for recurrent expenses.
