The former governor of Imo state, Ewele Rochas Okorocha has declared that the incumbent Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzordima hated him with passion while featuring on a Channels Television program yesterday.

The former Governor said the reason his successor piqued hatred of him was still way beyond his comprehension.

According to him, “Governor Hope Uzordima hates me with passion. He just hates me. He has been fighting me. He just showed hatred and envy. I don’t know for what reason. He doesn’t seem to be changing and relenting in his hatred.”

The former governor further reiterated that even though the incumbent Governor’s hatred of him seemed unending, and regardless of how deep it is, he had promised that he “would never fight back.”

He revealed that the state government of Imo state had used the police in Imo state to arrest and detain his aides and security men for 5-days without any charges.

He explained that the reason he would not engage Uzordima in any dialogue was because it could further create tension more problem in the state he had “suffered to build.”

Okorocha stated that despite all the ill-treatments and persecutions he had received from the State government, he would not be deterred from continuing to play his fatherly role in Imo State.

He disclosed that if the Imo State government had invited him to seek for his advice on how to solve the increasing insecurity issue in the state, he would have advised on ways to nip the security challenges in the bud saying that he had witnessed more challenges during his stint in power.

According to him, “Imo state was number one known state for kidnappings. I created CGC-Community Government as a fourth tier of government whereby traditional rulers became chairmen. I also have Youth Must Work where I engaged 25000 Youths in Imo state”
