Gov. Alia appoints Nyitse, state accountant general
Gov Hyacinth Alia on Friday approved the appointment of Mrs. Theresa Nyitse as the substantive accountant general of Benue State.
Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Gov. Alia, said this on Friday in Makurdi.
Before her appointment, Mrs. Nyitse was the acting accountant general of the state.
Kula quoted the governor as saying that the appointment would give her a sense of recognition and place her in a rightful position among her peers across the country.
“Your position is very sensitive in government. I believe that this confirmation will spur you to do more and remain focused as always,” Alia said.
He charged her to always acknowledge and put the interest of the state first in the discharge of her duties.
