Gov. Abiodun’s aide, Lawal bags Ogun outstanding youth award

Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor on Youth and Sports, Olamide Lawal has been awarded as the Most Outstanding Youth in politics at the Ogun State Youths Awards hosted by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State chapter.

The award was given to Olamide Lawal in recognition of his Youth Empowerment Initiatives, mobilization and development which have transformed the lives of many youths in the state since the beginning of the current administration in the State.

Presenting the award on behalf of the organisers, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele commended Lawal for advancing the course of youth development through his many programmes which are aimed at promoting youth emancipation.

“I’m glad at your achievements which reflect the efforts of Government in creating an enabling environment for young people to thrive in the State and beyond.

“You have proven to us that the youths have so much to offer, and we would always continue to support any Initiative that develops the Youth,” she added.

In his short appreciation remarks, Lawal dedicated the Award to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his youth oriented projects and for giving him the platform to showcase his leadership capacity.

He said, “I’m proud and honoured to receive this award. It is a recognition of the efforts of Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration to better the lives of Ogun youths via various initiatives and as such, this award is dedicated to His Excellency.

He appreciated everyone who contributed to the promotion of his youth oriented initiatives and programs.

“This is a morale booster for me, and a challenge for me to continue to do more. There are many people who support and encourage me, people who sacrifice so much to implement our youth development ideas, and I say thank you to them all,” Lawal submitted.
