Gov Abiodun salutes President-elect, Tinubu at 71

Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has felicitated Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 71st birthday.

The Governor, in a statement, by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Wednesday, expressed thanks to God for granting Asiwaju Tinubu, whom he described as an icon of progressive politics in the country, the grace to witness another year.

He noted that the septuagenarian contributed immensely to the political development of Nigeria, even before the country’s return to democracy in 1999.

Abiodun added that the President-elect, despite his advance in age, has continued to demonstrate his political sagacity, capacity and astuteness, pointing out that 71 is looking good on him.

He said though Asiwaju Tinubu has called for prayers from Nigerians to mark his birthday instead of rolling out drums, the progressives would celebrate the birthday by working towards making the country great.

While praying for a long life, good health and strength for the President-elect, the Governor said that Nigeria would witness a massive positive turnaround under the leadership of Asiwaju Tinubu.

He submitted that new Nigeria would emerge under the watch of Tinubu, who according to him, is a God’s gift to Nigeria, particularly, at the present time when the country needs a national stabiliser and unifier at the helm.
