Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has eulogised the late Chief (Mrs.) Janet Osoba, describing her as a caring, loving and quintessential mother whose legacies in her family and the church would remain forever.
The deceased Chief (Mrs.) Osoba, was the mother of Chief (Mrs.) Nike Osoba, a serving Commissioner II, in the State Civil Service Commission.
Abiodun stated this in his remarks at the funeral service at St. John Anglican Church Igbein, Abeokuta for the deceased, who died at the age of 82.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor extended his condolences to the daughter of the deceased, Chief (Mrs.) Osoba and the family, praying that God grant them fortitude to bear the loss.
Abiodun said “Mama during her life time has done her part by impacting people’s life positively, served tremendously in the church and her community. She will be sorely missed not by the children alone but those that have benefited in one way or the other from her”.
He implored the children of the deceased to build on the legacies of their mother and continue the good reputation the family is known for.
In his sermon from Psalm 90 Vs 12, the Church Assistant Priest, Venerable Joshua Omole, enjoined people to always ask God to teach them how to number their days, saying, ‘’time waits for nobody. If we want God to teach us how to number our days physically and spiritually, we must surrender our lives to God, we must be useful in the hands of God and we must be guided with the fear of God’’.
