God promised me Osun will rise again — Oyetola
Abimbola Abatta, Osogbo
The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has said that the developmental strides being recorded under his administration are testaments to God’s promise.
He spoke during the thanksgiving service in honour of his wife, Kafayat Oyetola, at the Government House Chapel to commemorate her 61st birthday.
Oyetola added that his administration is committed to pursuing God’s mandate till Osun becomes the toast of the nation.
He called on residents to continue to support the programmes and policies of his administration towards actualizing the God-given mandate.
While delivering his homily, the Chaplain of the Osun State Government House Chapel, Reverend (Dr) O. T. Onifade, described Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as the light that has shone in the darkness of Osun.
Onifade explained that the situation in Osun before Oyetola assumed office was inimical to the welfare of citizens and could be described as a time of darkness.
The clergy who said that Oyetola has brought the qualities that made him outstanding in his professional calling to governance noted that he is in government to serve and not to enrich himself.
