Globacom joins league of 4G LTE

Globacom has joined its counterparts in the league of 4G LTG. In a series oftweets last week, the company announced the nationwide launch of 4G LTE service, bringing customers super fast Internet connections.

The service is currently available in Lagos, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Abuja in the FCT, Jos in Plateau State, Warri in Delta State, Eket in Akwa Ibom State, Benin City in Edo State, Yola in Adamawa State and Zaria in Kaduna State.

Customers in these areas can enjoy the service for as low as N50. To get more data, they’ll have to part with more dough – N18,000 for 80GB for 30 days being the costliest.

As for other towns and cities, Glo has promised to rollout the service in a few days. You can dial *777# from your Glo line to find out if the service is live in your area, and get other details.

Other members in the 4G LTE gang are MTN(although they are having issues with theacquisition of Visafone which gave them the 4G super powers), Ntel, and InterC Network, formerly Intercellular.

4G LTE service means we can access web services at ‘supersonic speed’ but I hope the network will be stable enough for customers to have a taste of that speed.
