The President-Elect of Ghana, John Mahama, has paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

This was disclosed by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post via X on Tuesday.

The post read, “The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House Yesterday.”

This visit follows Tinubu’s congratulatory message to Mahama after his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.

Newsmen recalls that Tinubu in a telephone call with Mahama expressed hope that his return to leadership would enhance stability within the Economic Community of West African States.

He also noted his eagerness to collaborate with Mahama’s incoming administration to strengthen bilateral ties across various sectors and work towards a brighter future for the West Africa region.

Mahama served as Vice President of Ghana from 2009 to 2012, Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2009, and held deputy and ministerial roles between 1998 and 2001.
