Get ready to leave office – Nasarawa PDP chieftain tells Gov Sule
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Nasarawa State, Umar Anzaku, has advised Governor Abdullahi Sule to get his belongings ready to leave office.
He said this during a mega rally organised by the party’s supporters in Lafia.
The rally, held on Sunday, had supporters and loyalists of David Ombugadu, who has been declared the rightful winner of the governorship election of the state, displaying banners and placards with different inscriptions like “Ombugadu has arrived”.
Speaking with News Men during the rally, Anzaku stated that Ombugadu is the will of God and the people of Nasarawa, insisting that nothing can change that, not even the appeal court.
“David Ombugadu is our governor. God gave him to us, They stole it and God gave us back, and nothing can change that. Even appeal court will not change the will of God.” He said.
He advised Governor Sule to get ready to vacate the seat as it does not belong to him any more, reminding him that he swore before God only to stay one tenure in office and that God has answered him.
“The governor swore an oath before Allah that he will only stay one term in office and leave. Now, God heard him and answered him, and he doesn’t want to go.
“My advice to Sule is to pack his things and get ready to go because even the court of appeal will sack him again.” Anzaku said.
