The management of Galaxy Backbone (GBB) Limited recently hosted the Head of ICt departments across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The stakeholder engagement which had in attendance, Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone, Prof.Ibrahim Adeyanju and members of the management team was aimed at fast-tracking e-government adoption amongst government parastatals.
The GBB leadership through open and constructive dialogues listened to the ICT Heads on the challenges they face in assimilating technology in their operations.
Recently, the agency unveiled a 24hr Service desk to address consumer complaints while revealing a dedicated customer care line for Federal Ministries, Departments Government-wide IP & Agencies (83070, 83072, 83046).
As per the mandate of its parent, the Federal Ministry of Communication, Galaxy Backbone is the provider of shared ICT infrastructure, applications and services to all Federal Government MDAs and institutions while also building and maintaining a single nation-wide IP broadband network to provide network services to all Federal Government MDAs and institutions.
GBB aims to partner with the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy and the states in enhancing broadband penetration, hosting and colocation of data through our Cloud experience and in that way, contribute to the nation’s economic growth and development.
The agency has also invested in world class infrastructures that have the potential to power digital transformation initiatives and enhance the future of Nigeria digitally and support states in the creation of Internally Generated Revenue(IGR), while enhancing the economic and intellectual growth of the nation.
